Error description

  • Batch commands cannot be executed when TEMP
    directory does not exist in a "C Drive"
    Warning
    All the fields are not correctly filled
    Please do it before launching the batch
    Scenario
    0. Delete the "TEMP" directory, when a "TEMP"
    directory exists in "C Drive" folder.
    .
    1. Start CATIA.
    2. Select "Tool" => "Utility" (on Menu bar).
    ==> "Batch Monitor" panel appears.
    3. Double-Click "CATDUAV5"
    ==> "CATDUAV5" panel appears.
    4."Output directory" is selected. (Any Directory)
    5."Part.1.CATPart" is selected as "Document(s) to
    process".
    6.Click "Run" button.
    ===> The "Warning" panel appears.
    This problem is reproduced when other commands
    are used on "Utility".
    for example :
    * Batch-DXF-IGES-STEP
    * MigrateV4ToV5
    .
    This problem is not reproduced when a "TEMP"
    directory exists in "C Drive", but on "V5R12SP2",
    even if a "TEMP" directory does not exist in "C
    Drive", this problem is not reproduced.
    CATIA should execute the "CATDUAV5" command,
    even when a "TEMP" directory does not exist in "C
    Drive".
    CATIA should carry out the same behavior
    as "V5R12SP2", when using "Utility".
    On V5R12 the c:\TEMP directory was created
    automatically.
    .

Temporary fix

Comments

  • THE PROBLEM WAS SUBMITTED ON :
    CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 13.
    THIS PROBLEM IS NOT REPRODUCIBLE ON :
    CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 15 GA level
    Bypass: before running CATIA define variable
    BATCH_HOME=batch_directory_name
    (in Windows User Variables for instance)
    It will force the directory where batch files will be
    stored rather than trying to store them in TEMP
    directory..
