Troubleshooting


Problem

Administrator launches 'Controller Configuration' and opens database connection. Administrator tries to test database connection. An error appears. Administrator then launches 'Cognos Configuration' and right-clicks on the ContentStore database. Administrator chooses 'Test Database'. An error appears.

Symptom

Controller Configuration:

SQL1031N The database directory cannot be found on the indicated file system. SQLSTATE=58031

Cognos Configuration:



[Content Manager database connection]
[ ERROR ] The database connection failed.
[ ERROR ] Content Manager failed to connect to the content store. The connection string is "jdbc:db2://servername:50000/COGDB:retrieveMessagesFromServerOnGetMessage=true;fullyMaterializeLobData=false;clientProgramName=IBM_C10_2_2_CM;". The error encountered is: ""
