Enabling HA for Namenode from Ambari Console Step 3f Initializing the JournalNode with manual steps sudo su hdfs -l -c 'hdfs namenode -initializeSharedEdits'
Symptom
ERROR namenode.NameNode: Could not initialize shared edits dir
org.apache.hadoop.hdfs.qjournal.client.QuorumException: Unable to check
if JNs are ready for formatting. 2 successful responses:
