HD16446: CANNOT CREATE CONNECT CURVE

Error description

• Impossible to create a connect curve
  .
  Scenario :
  .
  1. Open the provided CATPart file.
  >> Workbench is "Generative Shape Design".
  2. Click the "Connect Curve" icon.
  >> The "Connect Curve Definition" window is
  displayed.
  3. Edit it.
  Connect type : "Base Curve"
  Base Curve : "Join.18"
  First Curve :
  Point : "Point.42"
  Curve : "Default (None)"
  Second Curve :
  Point : "Point.43"
  Curve : "Default (None)"
  Click "OK".
  >> The "Update Error" appears. It is written
  as "Connect2: Use of curve: The input curve length
  is smaller than the geometry factory resolution. -
  Choose a curve with length greater than the
  geometry factory resolution."
  The "Update Error" should not appear.

  There are edges that is smaller than 0.1mm.
  This problem is not reproduced if all edges are
  longer than 0.1mm.  Is it spec?
  Impossible to find about "the geometry factory
  resolution" in the DOC. There is a porblem with
  the "geometry factory resolution".

Problem conclusion

• THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION
  5 RELEASE 14 GA level.
  NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED
  ON V5R13SP02.

  Incident Diagnosis
  connect curve (with base curve) has not been
  realizable because the selected curve was too
  small (l 10e-2 > catia.resolution = 10e-3)
  .
  Correction Explanation
  The base curve is not a nurbs, it must be
  converted. So, the conversion has been used with
  a tolerance for the specific cuvre size (10e-1).
  .
  Answer and By-Pass
  The problem is fixed now.
