Guardium V9 GIM agent for 64-bit Windows Server not showing after silent install

Troubleshooting


Problem

Guardium Installation Manager (GIM) service is missing in services.msc after a silent install on Microsoft Windows 64-bit operating systems.

Symptom

Symptoms that may indicate this problem can include all or some of the following:

  • After a silent install, the Guardium Installation Manager service does not appear in services.msc.
  • The "guardiumstaplog.txt" in the installation directory may not show any error.
  • There is no "uninstall_GIM.bat" in the installation directory.
  • The GIM registry entry is missing.
  • The GIM.log file is missing in the installation directory.
