CDC EXPERIENCES EZZ4215I TCP/IP ABEND - DUMPING

Troubleshooting

Problem

CDC V10.2 running under z/OS 2.2. experiences the following: EZZ4215I TCP/IP ABEND - DUMPING +CHC9500E () TCP/IP recvmsg("STR") service call has failed. The returned errno is EIBMTCPABEND for value of 1,016

Symptom

The dump was taken for an ABEND0C4 in module EZBSOCIF, 2.2.0, offset
x'2CF8'.

Diagnosing The Problem

Dump analysis revieals the following
.
The offset of the program check (002CF8) is in EZBSOCIF processing
a recvmsg() call from a C program that is linked with CMIUCSOC.
.
The problem occurred because the v2r2 base version of EZBSOCIF
does not properly build 64-bit versions of IOV and MSGH structures
when processing recvmsg(), readv(), sendmsg() and writev() calls.
.
After you apply PTF UI33614, you will need to restart the TCPIP stack.
Once your testing is complete, please let us know if the problem is
resolved.
