Unable to install Statistics 21 with ''Could not create the Java virtual machine'.

Troubleshooting


Problem

After uninstall of Statistics 21, failure to reinstall Statistics 21 with message ''Could not create the Java virtual machine'. If one proceeds with installation, installation completes but program startup fails with 'Failed to create the Java VM' message including a reference to 'jvm.dll'. Attempting to delete Statistics 21 installation directory fails with 'one or more files in use' message.

Symptom
