  Answer and By-Pass
  NO BYPASS
  The raster file inserted into the CATDrawing is a
  1bit format. Only when edit the raster image by
  using the raster editor component that the raster is
  converted into a 24bit RGB image.
  To check that your image is not converted in 24bit
  RGB into the CATDrawing, save your CATDrawing
  and compare the CATDrawing filesize with the 1bit
  TIFF file or a 24-bit RGB image size.
  The Raster Editor does not manage B&W 1 bit
  image format. This is plan for future release.
