HD09210: DIABOLO - SURFACE CREATION FAILURE

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Scenario:
  1. Open the file.CATPart in the GSd workbench.
  2. Click on the Diabolo icon.
  3. Select the yellow surface (Rotate.1) as the Seat
  Surface.
  4. Select the blue surface (Loft.1) as the Base
  Surface.
  5. R-click in the Draft Direction and select Z axis
  as direction.
  6. Draft Angle: key in 20.
  7. Press OK.  The message "Diabolo.1: Diabolo
  surface creation failed...." is displayed.

• THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 13 GA lev
  el.
  Incident Diagnosis:
  DIABOLO - surface creation failure
  Correction Explanation:
  The seat surface Rotate.1 is locally twisted.
  -> Check is performed on the whole result.
  To avoid this, from now, the check is only
  performed on the created surfaces.
  Answer and By-Pass:
  Rotate.1 surface is based on Curve.2 and Curve.3
  curves which form a closed contour.
  In such case, a fill operation is more suitable.
  A possible by-pass can be as follow:
  1.Create a fill surface based on Curve.2 and
  Curve.3
  2.Replace Blend.1 with the new fill surface (Fill.1)
  -> The diabolo creation is OK.
