SHC105 - Disk path not optimal or some paths disabled

Troubleshooting


Problem

For PureData for Analytics system the nzhealthcheck script may report a problem with paths but all paths are up and working.

Symptom

The "nzpush -a mpath -issues" command returns something similar:

spu0103: Encl: 5 Slot: 8 DM: dm-21 HWID: 1255 SN: S0M1CBRA0000B416BTD4 PathCnt: 4 PrefPath: no

All 4 paths are available but system is not using the preferred one.

Resolving The Problem

You can try an online solution first. As user NZ run:


    nzpush -a mpath dm -r
      wait 3 minutes and then check if issue is resolved:
    nzpush -a mpath -issues


If online solution didn't work you will need to power cycle SPU's and Enclosures:

    As user NZ:
    nzstop

    As user ROOT
    /nzlocal/scripts/rpc/spapwr.sh -off all
    wait 5 minutes
    /nzlocal/scripts/rpc/spapwr.sh -on all

    As user NZ
    nzstart


Once database is online run "nzpush -a mpath -issues" to confirm issue is resolved.
