  SCENARIO :
  
  1.open CATPart
  2.Switch to Advanced meshing tools
  3.Mesh the part to 10mm mesh size
  4.Switch to Generative Structural Analysis
  5.select Clamp under restraints
  6.Select any edge (e.g hole)
  7.The clamps gets attached to the whole surface insted of
  the selected edge.
  8.The same problem any loads.

• THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 12 GA lev
  el.
  NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED ON V5R11SP04.
  NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM IS NOT FIXED ON R10 level.
  
  Now, with this correction, you can clamp a single face or a hol
  e and not only the whole surface.
  
  Bypass : this problem was due to edge fillet feature. If it is
  deactivated, it is possible to clamp a single face.
