Problem
This technote briefly describes special considerations and steps that must be taken when installing Maximo Anywhere and MobileFirst using an Oracle 12c database,
Symptom
When installing the MobileFirst from the Maximo Anywhere launchpad, Oracle 12c is not displayed as an option on the database type panel:
Oracle 12c is supported by Maximo Anywhere and MobileFirst, but the following must be done prior to running the installer:
- An Oracle 12c database instance for MobileFirst must be created manually.
- MobileFirst users must be manually created in the database.
- The Oracle JDBC URL connection option must be chosen and configured when using the MobileFirst installer and Server Configuration Tool.
