Error description

  • Abstract: Unable to share a CATIA V5 VBA-macro on the
    network
    .
    Scenario:
    1. Create any CATIA V5 VBA macro on a network drive.
    2. From another machine try to AddExisting VBA Library this
macro. You will then have the attached message (see sent JPG
file) effectively preventing more than one CATIA V5 user on
the network to the use the same Macro.
    .
Actually the first CATIA V5 session having a VBA-macro
library (catvba-file) on a shared drive in his list of Macro
libraries will effectively lock all following CATIA V5
sessions from having access to the same VBA-macro library.
This is also the case when clients have
ReadOnly access to the Shared drive.
    .
    Sev. 1 justification.
It is not possible to deploy VBA-macroes for company-wide
    use with this restriction.
