HC98500: TEAM PDM: REPLACE WITH SELECTED REVISION FOR THE SECOND TIME DOES NOT UPDATE THE PART NOR ITS PROPERTIES

• Closed as unreproducible in next release.

Error description

• TEAM PDM: When executing "Replace with Selected Revision"
  operation on a part for the SECOND time the part does not
  get updated and part's properties also do not get updated.
  
  Scenario:
  1) Create Assembly with one Part (a cube) in it. Check in
  both of
  them to Smarteam.
  2) User One checks out Assembly and copies out the Part by
  doing teampdm/File Operation
  3) User Two (at a different computer) checks out Part for
  editing,
  modifies it (make a visibly large hole in the cube) and
  checks back
  in
  4) User One in his session of CATIA selects Part, goes to
  TeamPDM->LifeCycle and selects "Replace with Selected
  Revision". In pop up window User One selects latest revision
  of the Part (rev a.0)
  5) Part is updated on the screen in CATIA.(you can see the
  hole in the cube)
  6) User One performs TeamPDM->Save on the Assembly.
  7) User One again tries to replace the part with the latest
  revision
          7.a Select Part in CATIA tree
          7.b From TeamPDM->LifeCycle select "Replace with
  Selected Revision"
          7.c From the popped up window select previous
  revision (blank revision), click OK
  =>The model did not get updated with the older part (you can
  still see the hole, even though you should not)
  Also the CATIA Properties of the part did not get updated.
  The revision property still has value a.0, even though its
  value should be blank.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

•  INCIDENT DIAGNOSIS:
   Problem  in the command UnloadReload of Team PDM
  
   TECHNICAL EXPLANATION FOR THE CORRECTION:
   Creatio n of a temporary file , then replacement of this file
   by the  selected document in the database.
   During  the second replacement, we can not do a save as of the
   selecte d document because the first temporary file is still
   in sess ion. This is now corrected.
  
   ANSWER AND POSSIBLE BY-PASS:
   By-pass : do a replace component with the Product Structure
   command
  
   REMARK:
   Do not forget to unselect in  tools/Administrator options
   /Life cycle options/out of vault tab  the following option
    Last Revision policy for overwrite local files upon Check
   Copy  otherwise you won t be able to perform the operation
