Error description

• ABSTRACT: insert/existing component on solidworks prt or
  asm failed....
  .
  1) open a new CATProduct on V5R8SP4
  2) try to insert in this product the Part or assembly coming
  from solidworks ( .sldprt or .sldasm which is recognized by
  CATIA) with insert/existing component
  3) The solidworks part is imported in the tree but there are
  no visualisation of the part
  4) the solidworks assembly is not imported ( error with
  "direct server"

  THIS PROBLEM IS NOT REPRODUCIBLE ON :
      CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 10 A level AND ON V5R9SP02
  
   REASON:
  With the new V5R9 Direct Server, all the data can be inserted
  into CATIA except the "ensemble.SLDASM".  As the other
  assemblies are OK, it is now data specific prob lem (and
  probably corrupted data).
  
  NOTE that a CATPart file name cannot be composed of special
  character. So in your case, it is not possible to insert the
  "p le*.*" if you choose the CATPart link mode because the
  second character of the name is invalid for CATPart format. If
  you try in visu or exact geometry mode, you will have the good
  result.
