HD61283: CATPART ARE NOT CORRECTLY OPEND IN CATIA USING A CATSCRIPT ME T HOD

Error description

• PROBLEM:
  CATPart are not correctly opened in CATIA using a
  CATScript method.
  .
  SCENARIO:
  environement:  CATIA R16 SP4 in Visualization
  mode (CATIA cache active)
  01. Create an assembly A1 that contains a part P1
  with a solid in it.
  02. Save it to C:\tmp.
  03. Close all in CATIA.
  04. Remove the CATPart from the directory, then
  open the assembly in CATIA.
  As a result the part is displayed as a broken
  paper in the assembly.
  05. Put the CATPart back in the directory and open
  it in CATIA.
  .
  RESULT: The CATPart is opened in a separate
  window and is also displayed in the assembly
  window.
  .
  If we do the same using a CATScript to open the
  part( in the step 05, in stead of doing maunally, we
  run the macro), the part is correctly opened in a
  separate window, but is not displayed in the
  Assembly window.
  The broken paper is still there, but is repeared if
  we move the mouse over the part in the
  specification tree or if you click once in the
  specification tree.
  However the part is not displayed. We must
  deactivate then reactivate the shape representation
  to correctly display the part.

Problem conclusion

• THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION
  5 RELEASE 18 GA level.
  NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED
  ON V5R17SP05 V5R16SP09.
  Incident Diagnosis
  CATPart are not correctly opend in CATIA using a
  CATScript method.
  CATEndOpen send in Script context is sent before
  performing the Init of the Document (CATInit). So
  retrieval of the Reference Product fails.
  Correction Explanation
  CATStartOpen and CATEndOpen are called before
  and
  after the Init(). Now retrieval of the Reference
  Product succed.
  Answer and By-Pass
  If CATPart is opened from Menu File->Open it get
  ressolved properly.
