Error description

• LMG / ROUGH GROOVING / CHANGE OUTPUT
  POINT OPTION LEADS TO COLLISION WHEN
  SWITCH FROM P9 TO P9R
  .
  Scenario:
  When performing a Rough Grooving operation, we
  used the Change Output Point option in the options
  and strategy tab. When processing the program,
  we found that the offset switch was occuring at the
  wrong place and would create a collision
  while retracting.
  .
  1.Open the attached CATPROCESS
  2.Review the toolpath of the existing MO.
  3.Refer the apt file and the ppt sent.
  .
  The tool has switch to P9 while retracting from
  LIFTOFF position. This will create an offset change
  while the tool is inside part to a position where a
  collision will occurs.The offset switch should occur
  only when the tool is fully retracted from part
  .

• THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION
  5 RELEASE 18 GA level.
  NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED
  ON V5R17SP03 AND ON V5R16SP08.
