Error description
Description of the problem- . ABSTRACT:LastVersion/IsLastVersion attributes not populated at STEP import . DESCRIPTION: Import a PartMaster and PartVersion with Supply Chain Exchange (STEP/ENOV_DATAX). The two entities are created but PM.V514LASTVERSION and PV.V514ISLASTVERSION are not populated. Although the customer is using customised objects, the problem can be reproduced on the standard Data Model. . STEP by STEP scenario: . . STEP FILE DETAILS: ISO-10303-21; HEADER; FILE_DESCRIPTION((''),'2;1'); FILE_NAME('input.p21','2006-09-30T14:26:50',(''),(''),'','','') ; FILE_SCHEMA(('ENOV_DATAX')); ENDSEC; . DATA; #1=ENOVExVPMPartMaster($, $, $, $, $, $, $, 'PMR_PM_PV_LastVersion', $, $, $, $, $, $, 2, 2, 1, $); #2=ENOVExVPMPartVersion($, $, $, $, $, $, $, $, $, $, $, $, $, $, $, #1, $); ENDSEC; END-ISO-10303-21; . . Use step file with details as Above . 1. Log on to ENOVIA server and set up "Supply Chain Exchange" 1.1. Execute "VPMDecAccess.sh -u user -r vpmadmin.admin.default -p password -U /usr/DassaultSystemes/B16/aix_a/reffiles/SuppChain/Initial.dec" . 2. Log on to the Java Client and import the supplied STEP file 2.1. Access "Supply Chain Management" 2.2. Access "Supplier Chain"/"Enduser" Project Type: "Import". Exchangeable Root Object: Search for PRC. Project: "Long Term Archiving". Partner: "Backup". . Generated Files. Exchange File: Browse for the supplied file Asynchronous process: Deactivate Generate script: Activate 2.3. Execute. Click "Run" in Generated Files . 3. Log on to the Java Client search for the Part Version 3.1. Access "Engineering LifeCycle / Parts" 3.2. Access "Open" panel 3.3. Deactivate "Get All Versions" 3.4. Search for the imported PartMaster ("PMR_PM_PV_LastVersion") => Empty result/No Part Version returned . COMMENT: All functionality relying on "GetLatest()" fails. . PREFERRED SOLUTION: PM.V514LASTVERSION and PV.V514ISLASTVERSION are properly populated at STEP import. This should apply to both standard and customised Data Models. .

Comments
THE PROBLEM WAS SUBMITTED ON : ENOVIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 16. THIS PROBLEM IS NOT REPRODUCIBLE ON : ENOVIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 18 GA level AND ON V5R17SP03. . Reason: Users need to run LastVersionUpdate utility after Import. . The utility LastVersionUpdate is used to update the attributes for last version of Part Version. After the import is done, set the following in Environment File / CustomEnv : export ENOINTRO=TRUE . Next, go to code\bin directory, and launch LastVersionUpdate -user <username> -pwd <password> . Launch the LCA Portal again and re-test the scenario; the last version of the part reference is seen when "get all versions" is unchecked. .
