Problem conclusion

• THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION
  5 RELEASE 18 GA level.
  NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED
  ON V5R17SP04 AND V5R16SP09.
  .
  EXPLAINATION:
  The problem is also fixed on V5R17 SP03
  .
  Incident Diagnosis
  The problem comes from a twisted Nurbs surface
  having a lot of control points badly spaced.
  .
  This surface has been created by DirWrapSurface
  using Z as direction of deformation.
  .
  To be able to manage the deformation this product
  needs to extrapolate the reference or target
  surface : in our case , starting from a smooth quite
  planar surface easily seen as Z =F(X,Y) ,but with
  a very convex topology the extrapolation process
  leads to a strange surface with multiple solution
  Z1,Z2 for the same X,Y in some area.
  .
  WrapSurface needs only one solution Z for a given
  X,Y : at the frontier of these area of double
  solutions we have discontinuites on Z.Tthis is
  the reason of the twist of the result surface .
  .
  Correction Explanation
  Now we do not accept the creation of such
  geometry.The corresponding error message
  appears.
  For the existing data , open the data and select the
  wrap surfaces using the search options and
  perform upgrade.
  .
  The problamatic wrap surface with turn KO
  .
