PROD EDIT: LCA CHECKIN/CHECKOUT DELETE LOCAL COPY OPTION IS NOT AVAILABLE . Scenario: 1] Launch the part editor and create a part reference 2] Lock the part reference 3] Select the "Document" tab under "Characteristics" to display the primary/supplementary structure 4] Under "Characteristics" right click on the part reference and select "Insert" then "New" 5] In the "Add New Document" popup window, key in the Document ID 6] Scroll down to the document role and select "Supplementary" 7] Scroll further down and select "Check In Existing File" tab 8] Browse for the file to check in and click OK 9] Verify that the document file is attached as a supplementary document 10] Right click on the document file and select "Check out" 11] Click OK on the "Checkout/CheckIn document" popup window 12] Modify the document you just check out and save 13] Right click on the document file in LCA and select "Check in" 14] A "Check In/Check Out" windows popup . Actual Result:The "Delete File from Local Machine" option IS NOT AVAILABLE . 15] Switch to "Content Management>Documents" and use "Check in" on the same document. The option is now available. . Expected Result: The "Check out/Check in Document" menu should contain the same options whether it is used from the Content Management interface, or from the Part Editor interface. The "Delete File From Local Machine" option should be available in both views. .

Problem conclusion
THIS PROBLEM IS PERMANENT RESTRICTION IN ENOVIA . This PMR is working as designed. The check in and checkout are NOT the same between content management editor and part editor because different users work with them for different purposes. Security protection can be different as well. Furthermore, the users typically check-in CATIA files from the Product Editor. Hence, we do not want to loose the design data/IP. .
