Problem

IBM Content Collector 4.0.1 shows error "The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process"

Resolving The Problem

This issue generally occurs if running multiple task routes concurrently and with the schedules set to "Always". This can lead to contention as one task route may access the file to evaluate it and potentially lock the file while another task route attempts to access it. The schedules of the task route should be set to process on an interval basis so there is less chance of contention.

Another possible cause is an Antivirus application running on the
ICC server. The source directory location should be excluded from scanning by this application.
