Error description
STCAI: CATIA objects switch from Visualization Mode to Design Mode when creating a Drawing Setup: SMARTEAM: Add a new attribute mapping to the CATIA Part Class: 1. Launch Integration Tools Setup 2. Select SmDemo and login as joe 3. Browse to the CATIA Part class under CATIA > Mapping Group Types 4. Right click on CATIA Part and select Open groups tree 5. Expand Engineering Information 6. Right click Engineering Information and select Add 7. Enter the Scale for the Name and Description and click OK 8. Right click on Scale and select Add 9. Select CATIA Part for the Class name and select Scale for the Attribute name and click OK 10. The new mapping has been added 11. Exit Integrations Tools Setup CATIA: Turn on Cache Management Mode: Tools > Options > Infrastructure > Product Structure > Cache Management Check Work with the cache system Set View Generation to Approximate: Tools > Options > Mechanical Design > Drafting > View Set View generation mode to Approximate ----- Detailed Scenario: Save and Check In CATIA Product to SMARTEAM: 1. Launch CATIA and connect to SMARTEAM 2. Open Product1.CATProduct and select SmarTeam > Save 3. Save the Product in ST 6. Select SmarTeam > Life Cycle > Check In (Active Document) Open the Product in CATIA: 1. In SMARTEAM - Editor, right click on Product1 and select File Operation > Open For... 2. Select Open for edit and click OK Notice that the Parts are in Visualization Mode as expected Create a Drawing view for the Product: 1. Click File > New... 2. Select Drawing and click OK 3. Click OK on the New Drawing dialog box 4. Click the Front View icon 5. Click the Window menu pick and select the Product 6. Select one of the top surfaces 7. Select the middle button 8. The Drawing view has been created 9. Switch back to the Product 10. The Parts are no longer in Visualization Mode If the attribute mapping is removed from Integration Tools Setup and you perform the exact same steps to create the Drawing view of the Product, then the Parts stay in Visualization Mode. Also, if you create the Drawing view while not connected to SMARTEAM, the Parts also stay in Visualization Mode. .
