HD50583: STCAI / LINKED DOCUMENT LOCALIZATION IN CATIA IS NOT FOUND WHE N MOVED FROM THE WORK DIRECTORY

Error description

• STCAI / Linked Document Localization in CATIA is
  not  found when moved from the work directory
  CATIA SMARTEAM INTEGRATION Scenario:
  1. In CATIA Set C:\test as a Search Path Folder in
  CATIA: Tools/options/General/document
  Linked Document Localization:
  -Smarteam
  -Other folders : Configure : Search order: c:\test
  2. Create an assembly of 1 CATProduct and 2
  CATParts in CATIA V5 (no geometry is needed)
  then save and check-in to SMARTEAM.
  3. Check out the assembly in SMARTEAM
  with "Copy files" of the Parts.
  4. do a smarteam copy file of the part1 to the other
  directory which is defined in the "Other Folders"
  section (c:\test)
  4) with CATIA Smarteam tools/Smarteam files
  explorer, delete the Part1 from the initial Work
  directory
  5) Try to open the CATIA assembly.
  6) The following error will appear when the moved
  CATPart is attempted to be loaded...
  "The files in the following list could not be found or
  contain
  the wrong information for the active document.
  SMARTEAM://_STFILE_C:\Documents and
  Settings\Administrator\My
  Documents\SmarTeam\Work\CATPRT-
  0238.CATPart%VERS_1"

  Documents location is managed by user
  Link resolution is managed by file-based locators
  Documents can be stored in various directories
  Limitations :
  Many user manipulations for storage of data, and
  synchronization
  High risk of getting unresolved links or resolved
  with wrong version of data
  When working with SMARTEAM:
  Documents location is managed by SMARTEAM
  Link resolutions is managed by SMARTEAM locator
  Documents are stored in the vault and accessed by
  CATIA through the local work
  Shared directories may exist on the network for
  non-revisioned data.
