APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Size abnormally different from files CGM generated
    in V4 and V5 with the same parameters.
    Working with a CGM version 1 on a same CATIA V4
    model the size of the generated CGM file is bigger
    in V5 than V4 (factor between 5 to 10).

    Use the PLOT Function with a specific CGM driver:
    PLOTSG10.plot_cfg
    1 ᄄ Scale = 1.0
    2 ᄄ Manual selection of the imageᄄs frame (Sheet 1)
    3- Select the CGM printer
    4- Print execute

    Print function with specific CGM driver :

Problem conclusion

  • THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION 5
    RELEASE 17 GA level.

    Correction Explanation
    Use of exact HLR instead of Polyhedric HLR.
    Now the user has the choice to force the polyhedral
    mode during print through Print - Options - Various -
    Rendering mode: Hidden line Removal
    "Use 3D Accuracy" to generate file of smaller size
    .
