Error description

• GSA : When replace is done, thickness is not
  reflected.

  SCENARIO:
  1. Open the provided CATAnalysis
  2. Double click on 2D property
  RESULT:
  Thickness is equal to 1mm (formula)
  3. Select Edit/Links
  4. Replace Part2.CATPart by Part5.CATPart
  5. Click OK
  6. Double Click on 2D property
  PROBLEM:
  Thickness is still equal to 1mm (without formula)
  whereas Part Thickness is 1.5mm
  .

Problem conclusion

• THIS PROBLEM IS PERMANENT RESTRICTION IN
  CATIA.

  Incident Diagnosis
  When the support for a 2D property is changed
  (part replaced using edit links), then the thickness
  which was earlier valuated by a formula (using
  parameters from the earlier part) is no more
  valuated by any formula. Instead the thickness
  reflected is taken from settings.
  .
  Restriction Explanation
  The formula valuating the thickness cannot relink
  automaticaly to parameters in the new part after
  replace. This is standard CATIA behavior. Also
  there is no publication mechanism involved here.
  .
  By-Pass
  The previous relation for the thickness is not lost
  but deactivated. Using contextual menu on the
  relation, user can edit the formula and modify the
  input parameter to the appropriate parameter in
  the new part manually. This relation can be
  activated to valuate the thickness.
