• IGES  / SAVING TO IGES FORMAT DOES NOT TAKE
  INTO ACCOUNT COLOR OF THE SOLID.
  .
  SCENARIO:
  1.Start CATIA V5 in part design workbench
  2.Create a rectangular pad of any dimension on
  say XY plane.
  3.Select the PartBody in specification tree and
  through contextual menu select properties.
  Properties dialog box appears.
  4.Go to Graphics tab.
  5.Change the color of the solid to Yellow.
  6.Click OK to properties dialog box.
  7.Save the CATPart as IGES format say Yellow.igs.
  8.Select the PartBody in specification tree and
  through contextual menu select properties.
  Properties dialog box appears.
  9.Go to Graphics tab.
  10.Change the color of the solid to Blue.
  11.Click OK to properties dialog box.
  12. Save the CATPart as Blue.CATPart.
  13. Save the CATPart as IGES format say Blue.igs.
  14.Open Yellow.igs, Blue.CATPart and Blue.igs
  .
  OBSERVATION:
  The color of Yellow.igs is Yellow. The color of
  Blue.CATPart is Blue. But color of Blue.igs is Yellow.

  OBSERVATION:
  The color of Yellow.igs is Yellow. The color of
  Blue.CATPart is Blue. But color of Blue.igs is Yellow.

Problem conclusion

• THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION
  5 RELEASE 17 GA level.
  NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED
  ON V5R16SP02 AND V5R15SP05.
  .
  Incident Diagnosis:
  Color data were kept until the CATPart is closed:
  after a first export, each next exports give the
  same result for colors.
  .
  Correction Explanation:
  update of colors for each export.
  .
