Error description
GSD \ ROUGH STOCK \ ROUGH STOCK POSITIONED INCORRECTLY WHEN BASED ON CG AXIS . SCENARIO: 1. Open a CATPart containing a PartBody with a solid goemetry (the problem is easier to see if the part is skewed from the primary planes). 2. Switch to GSD workbench. 3. Make sure the SURFACE MACHINING TOOLS toolbar is available, to access the ROUGH STOCK tool. 4. Click the ROUGH STOCK tool. 5. Select the part body (note the black lines around the part). 6. Click OK to create the rough stock envelope. 7. Note the correct position of the rough stock around the part. 8. Hide the geometric set called Rough Stock. 9. Click the MEASURE INERTIA tool. 10. Click the part body (note the white lines around the part). 11. Click CREATE GEOMETRY and click AXIS SYSTEM and OK (note the new axis created in the center of the part). Repeat the rough stock creation. 12. Click the ROUGH STOCK tool. 13. Select the part body again. 14. In the panel, click on the AXIS box and select the center of gravity axis (from step 11). 15. Note the black lines around the part (probably different from step 5). 16. Click OK to create the rough stock based on the new axis. . OBSERVATION: This second rough stock envelop is built shifted away from the part, and does not match the preview lines that were shown in step 15. . EXPECTED RESULT: This second rough stock envelop should not be built shifted away from the part, and should match the preview lines that were shown in step 15. .

THE PROBLEM WAS SUBMITTED ON : CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 15. THIS PROBLEM IS NOT REPRODUCIBLE ON : CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 18 GA level . This second rough stock envelop is not built shifted away from the part, and is matching the preview lines that were shown in step 15. Note that this problem is also not reproducible on R17SP01 level. .
