HD42978: GSD : IF THE "GEOMETRICAL SET" WITH THE PARAMETER IN "FEATURES" W AS INSERTED TO CATPART , CATIA FALLS INTO AN ABEND

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• SCENARIO :
  0) Start CATIA V5R15.
  1) Open the provided file : "Part1.CATPart"
  Workbench : Generative Shape Design
  2) Select "Insert" > "Geometrical Set" in the menu
  bar.
  >> "Insert Geometrical Set" panel is displayed.
  3) Select "Part1" > "Geometrical Set.1" > "Point.1"
  > "X" in the specification tree.
  >> "Part1ﾶﾾGeometrical Set.1ﾶﾾPoint.1ﾶﾾX" is
  inputted to "Features" in "Insert Geometrical Set"
  panel.
  4) Click "OK" button.
  ==> "Error" panel is displayed.
  ==> CATIA is ABEND, and AbendTrace is created.

  The parameter ( X ) should not be inputted
  to "Features" in the "Insert Geometrical Set" panel.

  This problem occurred using other parameters, too.

Problem summary

• GSD : If the "Geometrical Set" with the parameter in "Features"
  w  as inserted to CATPart , CATIA falls into an ABEND

Problem conclusion

• THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION
  5 RELEASE 17 GA level.
  NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED
  ON V5R16SP01 AND ON V5R15SP04.
  .
  INCIDENT DIAGNOSIS:
  A parameter aggregated under a GSMPoint is tried
  to be moved under a new GS.
  .
  TECHNICAL EXPLANATION FOR THE CORRECTION:
  Element can be moved only if it's aggregated under
  a public set or the mechanical part.
  .
