• DMUNAV : TESSELLATION WRONG.
  SCENARIO:
  1.Launch CATIA V5R14SP03.
  2.Make sure that the option 'work with the cache
  system' is set.
  Additional info: Tools - Options - Infrastructure -
  Part Infrastructure - Display - Display In Geometry
  Area: "Only the current operated solid" is set.
  3.File-Open Part14.CATPart.
  Notice the following displayed geometry. Pad.1 is
  the 'define in work object': picture 1 shows part:
  green "U" extrusion without yellow bar.OK due to
  above additional option.
  4.File-Close.
  5.File-New-Product.
  6.Insert-Existing Component: Part14.CATPart.
  7.Activate Node.Notice the following displayed
  geometry (see picture_2) and compare it with
  picture_1: picture 2 shows product: green "U"
  extrusion WITH yellow bar = ERROR .Due to
  picture 1 and option Display "Only the current
  operated solid" this yellow bar should not be
  shown.
  8.Repeat the same scenario on R12 with the
  Part12.CATPart.

  RESULT: No bar is displayed.

  Incident Diagnosis:
  When session setting 'Work with the cache
  system' is activated : CATPart document
  inserted in a Product gets visualized by its
  CGR ('visualization mode'). Then, when
  part infrastructure visualization settings are
  activated(e.g.'display only current operated
  solid') : the displayed entities are not the
  same as when the document is opened
  in 'design mode', or directly in a part editor.

  Restriction Explanation:
  R14 behavior is the correct one - this
  behavior is the same from R12SP6.
  Previous behaviors were wrong : R12SP3
  data attached to this APAR contain wrong
  CGR.
  .
  Correct explanation:
  The CGR streamed inside the
  CATPart document MUST NOT take into
  account the session visu settings such
  as 'display only current body', 'display only
  current operated solid', etc ...that is : the
  visualization of all the part
  bodies is streamed inside the CGR, even if
  this stream is generated in a session with
  activated options that do not display all of
  these bodies (before level R12SP6, the
  CGR stream took these visu options into
  account by error : this explains what is
  observed with R12SP3 data).
  Hence : the visualization displayed in visu
  mode, which corresponds to the streamed
  CGR, will not take into account these visu
  options. Display in visu mode can thus be
  different from the display in design mode,
  which is built by taking the visu options into
  account.

  By-Pass:
  Part infrastructure visu options should be
  used in a part design context, rather than
  for assembly visualization.
