Error description

  • Connection String error on login after installing
    SP11 for R1 2 while authenticating to a database or
    using Windows Authentication
    HOw to:
    1. open authenticatin manager and select
    Smarteam
    2. from the authenticatin protocol parameter check
    the box and select DB
    3. press apply
    4. start ST Editor getting the error:
    Illegal Login 'joe'. Access has been denied.
    Reason: An error occured while creating a user
    session. Reason: The ConnectionString property
    has not been initialized
    5. starting web editor; getting error (can't loginto
    web editor.
    expected: to be able login to smarteam Editor and
    web editor.

Problem conclusion

  • THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON SMARTEAM
    VERSION 5 RELEASE 17 GA level.
    NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED
    ON V5R16SP01.
