CVEID: CVE-2015-0235
DESCRIPTION: The gethostbyname functions of the GNU C Library (glibc) are vulnerable to a buffer overflow. By sending a specially crafted, but valid host name argument, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and run arbitrary code on the system with the privileges of the targeted process or cause the process to crash. The impact of an attack depends on the implementation details of the targeted application or operating system. This issue is being referred to as the GHOST vulnerability.

WebSphere DataPower XC10 Appliance Versions 2.1 and 2.5.
Remediation/Fixes
Apply an interim fix or fix pack as documented in the table. Later versions of WebSphere DataPower XC10 Appliance fixes and fix packs will also include the fix for APAR IT06890.

The appliance is automatically restarted during the application of the firmware upgrade, at which point the vulnerability is corrected.
