• ABSTRACT:
  DMUNAV: The volume cannot be measured
  by "Measure Item" on 3D geometry.
  SCENARIO:
  0. Launch CATIA R19SP4.
  1. Open CATPart.
  2. Click on Measure Item icon.
  3. Select PartBody.
  4. Check on Keep measure and click on OK button
  RESULT:
  There is Volume measurement result on the
  specification tree, but there is no Volume
  measurement result on 3D geometry.
  EXPECTED RESULT:
  There should be Volume measurement result on 3D
  geometry.

  VERSION 5 RELEASE 19.
  THIS PROBLEM IS NOT REPRODUCIBLE ON CATIA
  VERSION 5 RELEASE 20 GA LEVEL.
  Incident Diagnosis:
  The volume cannot be measured by 'Measure Item'
  on 3D geometry
  Reason:
  The volume(0m3) displayed in the 3D geometry is
  by follwoing the ISO standards.
  If the setting called "Decimal places for
  read/write numbers" (used for the display of
  units) = 3 and if the parameter's value in current
  unit (e.g. m) = 0.001,then the value displayed
  is "0m"
  To display parameter's value in current unit:
  Go to Tools->Options->Parameters and Measure-
  >Units--> Decimal places for read/write
  numbers--> set the value to 8.
  The volume will be displayed as
  Volume= 0.000125m3 in the 3D geometry.
  Bydefault the "Decimal places for read/write
  numbers" value is 3, as per ISO standards the
  value is shown as 0m3. Increasing decimal places
  number will correctly display the volume.
