Error description

  • Problem:
When modifying a point or multiset in R17 we get a
move warning but the part is not changed. Then we
can change the part as desired.
When modifying a point or multiset in R19 we also
get the move warning but the part is changed
immediately so the user does not know how much
    he changed the coordinates.
    .
    Scenario:
    1. Open the delivered product.
    2. Snap compass to a point
    3. Move the compass
    4. The move warning appears. Answer with yes.
==> The part is modified, but you do not know
how much the axis values were changed.
    .

Comments

  • THE PROBLEM WAS SUBMITTED ON CATIA
    VERSION 5 RELEASE 19.
THIS PROBLEM IS NOT REPRODUCIBLE ON CATIA
    VERSION 5 RELEASE 19 SP05 LEVEL.
    .
    Incident Diagnosis :
When the Part is moved with compass a warning
message is popped up. Move will modify the
CATPart,Continue. If Yes is pressed, the position
is changed and when NO is pressed, the position is
    not changed.
The Expected behavior was When yes is pressed
    the positions should not move.
    .
    Correct Application:
Intially the position was not changed in
R17SP3. The expected behavior is wrong that on
Yes positions should not move. If Yes and No
behaves the same , there was no need of two
button. Two buttons are provided to give different
    behavior.
This is generic behavior and needs no
documentation and is correct on R19 and R20
    levels.
