INCIDENT DIAGNOSIS: Save/Save as is not possible if the source file of the document we are trying to save has been deleted by another process/ explorer. . CORRECT APPLICATION: It is strictly forbidden to delete with Windows Explorer (or by any mean) a document that is loaded in Session. This restriction applies to most applications. Internally, CATIA is performing selective loading: it loads in memory just the require amount of data from the file. If later additional data is required, it will re-access file to update the memory view. For example: Electrical Data are loaded when you are working in Electrical Workbench. . There is no documentation detailing a file in use by CATIA must no be deleted. This has not to be documented since this is a basic restriction applying to most software. .
