Error description

  • PRINT: Missing entities when saving or printing to cgm format
    
    SCENARIO:
    
    1- Create a new drawing as follows:
       Format A0 ISO
       Paper size = 841 x 1189 mm
       Global scale = 1:1
    2- Edit the sheet size with dimensions as:
       1117.6mm wide by 863.6 mm high
    3- Create a rectangle (or separate lines) at the limit of the
       page on a catdrawing. For example, with following dimension:
       1117.6mm wide by 863.6 mm high.
    4- File/ save the drawing as save a CGM.
    
    Result:
    
    Reopen the .cgm file saved in step 4. The left line of the
    rectangle is missing.
    
    Expected result:
    
    The CGM file should be saved correctly, without missing the
    entities.

Problem conclusion

  • THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON   VERSION V5R20 GA level.
    Additional Closure Information:
    This problem is also fixed on V5R19 SP06 level.
    Technical explanation of the defect:
    lines present on the edge of drafting sheet are not getting
    exported to 2D formats such as CGM, PS,PDF, TIFF etc. This
    happans for some combination of screen resolution and
    drafting sheet sizes.
    Technical explanation of the correction:
    Due to floating point precision, these lines on the edge were c
    onsidered to be outside. Correction is made in CATIA, to avoid
    this trouble.
