Error description

  • Imagine And Shape:The direction of the 3D
Compass is not right.

SCENARIO:
1. Open the supplied.CATPart in CATIA V5.
2. Change workbench to the Imagine & Shape
W/B.
3. Move the 3D Compass to the surface of the
Sphere element.
4. Move the 3D Compass to a suitable place
.
Observation:
Check the direction of the 3D Compass and the
reference
plane differs.
.
5. Select the xy plane.
6. Select the Revolve command.
Refer the PPT file for detailed scenario.

Result:
The direction of the 3D Compass and the displayed
screen differs.

  • THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION
5 RELEASE 20 GA LEVEL.
Incident Diagnosis:
Compass was not initialized earlier for revolve
command.
Correction Explanation:
Now due to the correction, the Compass is
initialized for the revolve command.
