    Press right mouse button /ToolPath/ Select
    Geometry creation
    3.Geometry Creation BOX is open
    3-1.Destination : Part5
    3-2.Type : Points and Tools
    3-3.Selection : Whole Tool Path
    3-4.Press Apply
    .
    Result: An error occurs, and shape is not made
    completely.
    Excepted Result :  Tool shape in Geometry create it
    should be completely made.

  • THIS PROBLEM IS PERMANENT RESTRICTION IN
    CATIA
    INCIDENT DIAGNOSIS
    Tool shape is created partially with Create
    Geometry function due to self intersecting
    geometry.
    RESTRICTION EXPLANATION
    In the Create Geometry command, the tool
    Geometries are created using the revolution
    surface operator.
    .
    The profile of the tool contains an edge whose
    length is equal to the geometric tolerance (0.001
    mm = 1 micron).
    .
    The revolution surface operator considers such a
    profile as self intersecting.
    .
    In such cases the creation of the revolution surface
    operator is not guaranteed. Hence the tool
    geometry gets created at some locations while at
    others it does not create.
    By-Pass
    .
    If the tool profile is such that the length of the
    edge is larger than the geometric tolerance (> 1
    micron), the revolution surface operator will work
    correctly. This can be achieved by increasing the
    value of db from 0.5 mm to 0.502 mm.
    .
