Error description

  • STCAI / View temporary copy - Check OUT icon
    not updated
    .
    1. Create Part1.CATPart with no geometry in it.
    Save it and Check-In it to SmarTeam.
    2. File Open For Edit of Part1.CATPart. Create
    some geometry in it. Save it and Check-In it to
    SmarTeam. Two revisions now exists: "" revision
    and "a.0" revision
    3. In SmarTeam, select the latest revision "a.0"
    and perform a File Operation / Open For " / View
    temporary copy. Part1.CATPart "a.0" is opened to
    CATIA V5 but cannot be checked-out.
    CATIA, CGR Files and FileCatalog info are created
    in Temp directory of user
    4. In SmarTeam, select the first revision "" and
    perform a File Operation / Open For " / Open as
    read-only. Part1.CATPart "" is opened to CATIA V5.
    Two windows are now opened in CATIA V5.
    5. In   CATIA V5, select the first revision "" and
    perform SmarTeam / Assembly Management /
    Replace with Selected Revision. Select the
    revision "a.0"
    6. Check out the part
    .
    Problem: Check OUT icon not updated directly.

Problem conclusion

  • THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION
    5 RELEASE 20 GA LEVEL.
    NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED
    ON V5R19SP05

    Incident Diagnosis
    In the scenario, Latest version document is opened
    in CATIA session. Then the same document (old
    verison) is opened from different path. Both of
    them are opened in CATIA session in two different
    editor windows. There was no check.

    Correction Explanation
    .
    Check is done to detect presense of the Document
    in CATIA Session. If already Document exist in
    session, a warning message is fired while opening
    another verison document.
