  1. File/Open the CATPart
  3. File/Save As/file type=.igs
  4. Open this saved SPLINE.igs in wordpad and
  confirm the entity of the element.
  = It shows 126 that is rational B-spline curve.

  Though setting the option "Standard" it, it is
  converted with 126 that is rational B-spline curve.

  Correction Explanation:
  The documenattion already contains the details of
  what will be converted to what when an IGES
  Export is done.
  In the table it is mentioned that all the Curves in
  CATIA will be transformed to Rational B-spline
  Curves 126 after IGES Export.
  The above mentioned statement is valid
  irrespective of the settings of Curve and Surface
  type..
