HD82708: REAL TIME RENDERING : THE CGFX MATERIAL IS NOT DISPLAYED CORREC TLY

• Closed as Permanent restriction.

Error description

• Scenario:
  1- File / Open the attached CATPart file
  2- Tools / Options / Display / Performance / Enable
  OpenGL local viewer lighting : activate the
  "Enable OpenGL Shader" option
  ==> The part is displayed in black color if I set the
  view mode "Shading with Material". (see
  "cgfxmaterial.jpg".)
  3- Select the parameter of "Plastic_red_roough" in
  "Advanced_Materials.CATMaterial" for the material.
  ==> Problem with visu
  .
  Environment:
  HP Workstation xw6200 (This machine is included
  in Windows XP 32-bit Certified Workstation List.)
  Intel xeon 3.6Ghz
  3GB RAM
  XP Pro SP2
  NVIDIA Quadro FX1300
  Driver : 169.55 (The same problem occurs even if
  the driver is 91.85 in the certified list.)

  Incident Diagnosis :
  THE CGFX MATERIAL IS NOT DISPLAYED
  CORRECTLY WITH REAL TIME RENDERING.

  Restriction Explanation :
  It is a bad Visualization of cgfx shader with NV
  FX1300.
  But it is a limitation of FX1300 which is a very old
  graphic card, which could not support this kind of
  Shader.

  Upgrade the graphic card
