How can I set the barcode length on Linux?
Cause
Change in Library, device driver or firmware may necessitate a need to change the barcode length.
Answer
In the modprobe.conf file add or change the entry:
options lin_tape lto_barcode=x
NOTE: x is the barcode length desired i.e. 6 or 8
