HD82386: DRAFTING(INTDRAFT)/ BOM Does Not Update

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• DRAFTING(INTDRAFT)/ BOM does not Update.
  .
  SCENARIO:
  1. Open a CATProduct and a CATDrawing.
  2. In the CATDrawing, Go to the sheet background.
  3. Insert / Drawing / Bill of material / Advanced Bill of materi
  al .
  4. Select the Invert box.
  5. Switch to CATProduct and select it.
  6. Click on drawing to show bill of material.
  7. Right click on bill of material and select
  properties and select Reported Properties tab.
  8. Change Part number entry to Definition
  and click Apply.
  9. Bill of Material does not update.
  10. Click Ok to exit properties box.
  11. Right click on Bill of material again and select
  properties.
  12. Reported Properties tab does not appear any
  more.
  13. Click close to exit properties box.
  14. Switch to CATProduct.
  15. Delete or Add parts in product.
  16. Switch to CATDrawing:
  RESULTS:
  The BOM does not update.
  .
  EXPECTED RESULTS:
  The BOM should update.

Problem conclusion

• THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA  VERSION V5R21 GA level.
  NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED ON V5R20 SP1.
  Additional Closure Information:
  INCIDENT DIAGNOSIS:
  In Drafting, BOM does not Update.
  Explanation:
  The Correction is done through Code modification.
  Now the BOM is updated correctly.
