Error description
Translate Offset Curve takes too much time. . SCENARIO: . 1. Open attached CATDrawing file in R18SP06 and R17SP06. 2. Refer to attached ppt and select the curve shown in presentation. 3. From transformations command box select Translate command. Make sure that duplicate mode is ON. 4. Provide start and end position. 5. Result: curve is translated and operation takes roughly 2.5 minutes in R18 In R17 it takes approximately 4 seconds.. . 6. Additionally on R18 level the curve is distorted. . . EXPECTED RESULT; . The time required for completing operation should be same as R17SP06: approximately 4 seconds. . And the curve shape should not be distorted. . .

Problem conclusion
THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 20 GA LEVEL. NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED ON V5R19SP04 AND ON V5R18SP08 . INCIDENT DIAGNOSIS: . The way the constraint scheme was discribed to the solver was changed. Due to this change it was more difficult to find a solution during translate. . . CORRECTION EXPLANATION: . The previous method of constrain has been now re- used. With the old method, the time required for solution is less and hence the curve is translated in short time. . The problem is now fixed after this change. .
