HD80527: AUTOMATICALLY CLOSE AN OPENED INVENTOR PART SESSION IN FILE COP Y PROCESS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Automatically close an opened Inventor part
  session in file copy process
  This issue occurs with Inventor 12 and SmarTeam
  R17SP8HF3.
  To reproduce:
  Create Inventor part 'TEST' with two released
  revisions - for example 'A' and 'B'.
  For this example, we will call them TEST.A and
  TEST.B.
  1. In SmarTeam, right click on TEST.B and go
  to 'File Operation'-> 'Open For'.. ->'Read only'.
  2. TEST.B is opened in an Inventor session
  3. In SmarTeam, right click on TEST.A and go
  to 'File Operation'-> 'File Copy', to Copy TEST.A to
  the local work directory.
  4. At this point, the user gets a warning message to
  prompt user this will overwite the local file (this is
  normal behavior, as the option is set to "Ask").
  5. Then click 'Continue'
  6. The opened TEST.B Inventor session is
  automatically closed in Inventor! (THIS is the
  issue.)
  Using the same scenario,
  1. This did not happen using R14
  2. It does not happen using Inventor 10.
