Error description
Error in Warp/Weft Angle and Warp/Weft Ratio handling. See attached ppt for more explanation. and .zip for necessary data to reproduce the problem. The scenario is : Set the environment variable CATCompositesWarpWeft=1 Set up the attached test framework in RADE R18 and run CATIA V5 Set breakpoint as shown void SLTEFmpFiberMeshOperator::SetBiaxialMaterialPara meters(const double iWarpWeft, const double iMaxStrain, const double iWarnStrain ) Open the attached CompositesCatalog.CATMaterial verify that material WWA60 has a Warp/Weft Angle set to 60 deg verify that material WWA60 has a Warp/Weft Ratio set to 2 in the Composites tab. Open the attached AFM_02 _sphere_with_darts_b.CATPart verify that ply Stacking/Undarted/Sequence.1/Ply.1 - AFM references material WWA60. Error 1: Parameter Value Wrong, as seen, the value of the Warp/Weft Ratio is wrong: it should be 2.0 not 1.0 Error 2: Warp/Weft Ratio wrong The Weft Mesh Parameter should be equal to the Warp Mesh Parameter DIVIDED by the Warp/Weft Ratio. As the material value is 2, a 5mm warp value should mean a 2.5 mm weft value Error 3: Wrong iWarpWeft in SetBiaxialMaterialParameters Press Apply to run produciblity and stop at breakpoint set earlier iWarpWeft should have the material value of 60 and not 90 .

Problem summary
Error in Warp/Weft Angle and Warp/Weft Ratio handling. Set the environment variable CATCompositesWarpWeft=1 run CATIA V5 verify that material WWA60 has a Warp/Weft Angle set to 60 deg verify that material WWA60 has a Warp/Weft Ratio set to 2 in the Composites tab. verify that your ply references the material ( WWA60). As the material value is 2, a 5mm warp value should mean a 2.5 mm weft value Error 3: Wrong iWarpWeft should have the material value of 60 and not 90 Wrong iWarpWeft should have the material value of 60 and not 90
Problem conclusion
THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON VERSION V5R20 GA level. Additional Closure Information: THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 20 Beta LEVEL. Additional Closure Information: The issue has been fixed. You have to load your CATPart after you do "Tools->Option->MechanicalDesign->CompositesDesign->Check the option "Load Material catalog along with the CATPart". Now You will see cross mask on Composites parameters node & on material node which implies that the material properties is not synchronized with the current part. You can do sychronization or update so that the issue is solved.
