Error description

  • The Styling Fillet command of Free Style
    workbench creates an unintentional shape
    Scenario:
    Scenario:
    Step1 Open the CATPart attached to the PMR
    Step2 Go to Free Style workbench.
    Step3 Select the Styling Fillet command.
    Step4 Select the Extrapol.1 as Support 1 and the
    Extrapol.2 as Support 2.
    Step5 Turn ON the Trim Support of Support 1 and
    Support 2.
    Step6 Input 10mm as Radius.
    Step7 Set the direction of arrows. Refer to ppt file.
    Step8 Click OK.
    Then, the shape is not correct.
    Additional information.
    The correct shape is created by Shape Fillet of GSD
    W/B.
    Expected result:
    The Styling Fillet command of Free Style
    workbench should create a
    correct shape.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Scenario:
    1. Open the Generative Shape Design DATA containing two
    surfaces to be filleted
    2. Go to the Free Style workbench.
    3. Select the Styling Fillet command.
    4. Select the first Surface as Support 1 and the second
    surface as Support 2
    5. Turn ON the Trim Support of Support 1 and Support 2.
    6. Input any Radius.
    7. Set the direction of arrows to get a correct fillet.
    8. Click OK.
    The shape is not correct.
    Additional information.
    The correct shape is created with the Shape Fillet created
    inside the Generative Shape Design Workbench
    Expected result:
    The Styling Fillet command of Free Style Workbench should
    create a similar shape.
