Error description

• COMPO DESIGN / GRID / UNABLE TO
  SYNCHRONISE OR GENERATE PLIES.
  .
  Scenario.
  .
  1) Open the CATPart and notice that there is no cell
  coloring, even if the Virtual Stacking is correctly
  populated.
  2) Click on plies synchronization. The command
  does not work anymore when the coloring
  disappears.
  3) Click on the synchronize stacking icon
  An error message appears and it is not possible to
  synchronize.
  4) Create a new Virtual Stacking, using Grid.1 as
  input.
  5) The virtual stacking is created and populated,
  but the cells are not colored.
  Create plies from this new virtual stacking
  6) A new ply group is created (Plies Group.2), but it
  is empty.
  7) If try to synchronize the new Virtual Stacking
  with the Plies Group.2, an error is received
  .
  Expected results:
  1) the grid and virtual stacking coloring are visible,
  2) the user could synchronize the ply group to the
  original virtual stacking, and/or
  3) the user could generate new plies.

  ON V5R19SP03 LEVEL ALSO.
  Incident Diagnosis
  synchronization of ply impossible and no color of
  grid and Virtual Stack.
  .
  Correct Application
  To see correction user needs to upgrade the grid
  as changes in cells computation has been done (as
  any other geometrical algorithm it is versionned
  and hence needs to be upgraded to take benefits of
  last algorithm). The root cause was that a reference
  element group was empty in the panel definition
  and this case was not handled properly with
  previous version of algorithm.
