Error description
ABSTRACT:PARAMETER FOR ISO3411 AND NOT BE DEFINED AS HUMAN MODEL SHOULDER PIVOT WIDTH CAN NOT BE DEFINED. Scenario: 1.Open Product1.CATProduct.?The mode is defined to set parameters along ISO3411.Please refer ISO3411 standard. 2.Change to Human Measurement Editor Wb, then select Manikin. 3.Select Filter command, then select All. 4.Select Displays the variable list, then select Bideltoid breadth. 5.Set Manual as as management and 450mm as value. 6.For ISO3411, one more parameter : Shoulder pivot width is required but there is no parameter in the list to define Shoulder pivot width. This is the problem. RESULT:Shoulder pivot width is required but there is no parameter in the list to define Shoulder pivot width. EXPECTED RESULT: Shoulder pivot width should be listed in the Parameter list by Display the variable list .

Problem conclusion
THIS PROBLEM IS PERMANENT RESTRICTION IN CATIA Additional Closure Information: Additional Closure Information: RESTRICTION EXPLANATION The shoulder pivot width is not listed because all the joints position on our manikin model are calculated (estimated) based on external measurements (anthropometrical variables) so they cant be directly set or modify by the user 1) Why CATIA does not refer ISO standard? A: our CATIA human model is built on 1988 US Army Natick anthropometry database. The anthropometrical variables used in CATIA human model come from the database, so the measurement and definition of the anthropometry variable must be complained to the database rules. The anthropometry database of US army Natick was built based on the measurement of naked humans. Therefore, the manikin created with CATIA is a naked manikin without shoes, which is different from ISO standard. However, customers would be able to create a ISO standard manikin with knowing what exactly same variables being used in CATIA human model. I provided the answer in the attached document. 2) What kind of anthropometrical variables CATIA refers? A: please refer to the attached PowerPoint document. 3)How to apply CATIA Human model to ISO standard model application. A: To apply ISO standard to CATIA Human, customer could modify the value of the variable List I provided in the attached file to create A manikin (small, medium, or large operator) according to the data from ISO standard table. Please make sure they know the value of stature or height of ISO standard must minus 25mm (with shoes), then apply to the value of CATIA manikins stature, etc.
