Error description
Machining (NCInfra) : V4-V5 INTOL-OUTTOL Machining (NCInfra) : V4-V5 INTOL-OUTTOL Couplet reverts to Default values with Circular Interpolation . Scenario 1. Open the provided V4 APTSource file 2. Use FIND (Ctrl F) and search using INTOL Result: There is one INTOL-OUTTOL couplet at OPERATION NUMBER : 22 It is INTOL / .00100 OUTTOL/ .00000. There are no other couplets in the APTSource file. 3. Start CATIA and go to NC Manufacturing Review WB 4. Select "Read manufacturing model from V4 data." 5. Select the provided CATProduct. 6. Select "SEQ 701 ROUGH PROFILE TOP AREA WITH 2.5 HERTEL BACK AND FORTH WEB" and process it. 7. Open the part operation definition panel for the imported model. 8. Select the machine icon. 9. Select 5 axis machine and OK & OK to exit and save the change. 10. Expand the process tree. 11. Highlight V4 Program.1 12. Select associate output NC file to a program. 13. Select the provided V4 aptsource file 14. Open operation 22 definition panel and select the first tab. Note: the machining tolerance is still 0.001. This is correct (same for operation 23) 15. Select generate NC code interactivly. 16. Select V4 Program.1 and APT for the data type. Select a folder to save to. 17. Execute the APT file. 18. open the newly created APT source file. 19. Use FIND (Ctrl F) and search using "INTOL" RESULT: under operation 22 the tolerance is correct INTOL / .00100 OUTTOL/ .00000 20. Use FIND NEXT to continue to the next tolerance couplet. RESULT: The subsequent machine operation has reverted back to the default tolerance INTOL/.00394 OUTTOL/ .0000 This is the problem. EXPECTED RESULT: This tolerance change should not exist. The tolerance for this operation is also INTOL / .00100 OUTTOL/ .00000 . The same problem occurs if a new manufacturing program is added and if we select import APT, Clfile or NC code icon and browse to the V4 apt file. Then, the generated NCcode has the same problem .

Problem conclusion
THIS PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED ON CATIA VERSION 5 RELEASE 20 GA LEVEL. NOTE THAT THIS PROBLEM WILL ALSO BE FIXED ON V5R18SP06 AND ON V5R19SP01 Incident Diagnosis : INTOL/OUTTOL is not coming correct for machining operation when you associate or Import APT file. Correction Explanation : No method is implemented on setting previous Machining tolerance on machining operation if new tolerance is not declared. .
