  1. Start CATIA V5R17 SP08.
  2. Open the CATPart. Workbench- GSD.
  3. Select the Intersection icon.
  4. Select the two Curvature continuity Extrapolate
  features as input.
  5. Click OK.
  6. An error message is displayed and intersection
  is not computed. This is the problem.

  Incident Diagnosis.
  Intersection gives no result.
  .
  Restriction Explanation.
  Thw two Extrapolates share the same support
  surface. Extrapolate in curvature does not modify
  the support surface. This support surface has only
  one face.
  Hence these support surfaces self intersect each
  other. Self-intersection of surface are not
  computed. It explains why there is no result.
  Intersection between two topologies that share the
  same support surface cannot be done hence an
  error mesage is displayed.

  By-Pass
  Modify the design in order to avoid having the
  same support surface.
  For instance you can do extrapolate in tangency for
  one surface since in this case it gives the same
  shape.
